Man With Razor Blades In Shoe Stopped At Bwi

razorclam_1 Katherine Quinn was working at the Antelope House mental health unit in Southampton when it took place. A Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) hearing in London found she was still fit to keep practicing but gave her a one-year caution order. The panel heard that self-harm is used by some mental health trusts as a form of therapeutic intervention. Ms Quinn admitted giving the razor blade to the patient in May 2011 and allowing her to self-harm with it. She reported the incident at the end of her shift to the morning staff. The woman, who can only be referred to as Patient A, had been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder and had a history of self-harming. Ms Krystle Fonyonga, the case presenter instructed by the NMC regulatory legal team, said the nurse had "acted so as to place a patient at unwarranted risk of harm, bring the profession into disrepute, and breach a fundamental tenet of the profession". 'Severe distress' A statement from the panel read: "You had clearly acted so as to put Patient A at unwarranted risk of harm.

But before Albert and Francine can leave, another white middle-aged couple, talkative Karl (John Maness) and his deaf, pregnant wife, Betsey (Meredith Julian) show up. When Karl can no longer contain his outrage about Bev and Russ having sold their home to "a colored couple," the pretense of a social visit is dropped and all hell breaks loose.

Antelope House (Photo courtesy of TSA) Related By Kevin Rector, The Baltimore Sun 12:44 p.m. EDT, September 26, 2013 In a strange incident at BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport on Tuesday, two razor blades were found "manufactured into the sole" of a man's shoe, according to the Transportation Security Administration . The metal blades were spotted by security in the man's carry-on bag as it passed through an X-ray machine, and the man was stopped as Maryland Transportation Authority Police officers responded, the TSA said. Officers found the blades only after every item in the man's bag was removed and X-rayed separately, which revealed the blades inside of a "well-worn," orange-and-grey New Balance running shoe, the TSA said. The TSA described the blades, which are prohibited, as "two pieces of box cutter-type blades," and said police had to "tear open" the shoe to retrieve them. "During the police investigation, it was determined that the blades appeared to have been manufactured into the sole of the shoe for the right foot," the TSA said in a statement. "The passenger was permitted to catch his flight." The man was not arrested or issued a criminal citation. "There have been many instances in which people try to intentionally conceal blades in their shoes," said Lisa Farbstein, a TSA spokeswoman, in a statement. "However after the investigation, it was not believed to be the case in this instance.
